Acclaimed singer and actress Julia Hawkins has performed
extensively through out the Midwest and the South to rave reviews. A native of southeastern Michigan, Julia
holds a degree in acting from Siena Heights University and has appeared in
numerous films and commercials. However, her great love is the stage with more
than 60 professional credits to her name.
Julia counts Elaine Stritch, Judy Garland, Liza Minnelli,
Sylvia Syms, Barbara Cook, Mary Cleere Haran, Nancy Lamott, Rosemary Clooney
and Colleen McHugh among the great women who have influenced her career. A stage veteran of thirty years, she has
worked everywhere from Michigan to Georgia, including the Croswell Opera House,
the Peachtree Playhouse and the Kerrytown Concert House. Julia is equally passionate about cabaret, a
venue where she truly shines. Her
unforgettably rich alto voice and larger-than-life personality have captivated
audiences from Atlanta to Chicago.
Julia also lectures occasionally on the history of cabaret,
so she knows whereof she sings.
Julia looks forward with great anticipation to making her
Davenport’s debut.
