اگر می خواهم قهوه ام را با لذت مزمزه کنم، باید به عشق فکر بکنم. و حس کنم که در کافه ای تابستانی نشسته ام در اسپانیا یا یکی از کشورهای آمریکای لاتین… یا ایتالیا… یا جنوب فرانسه یا یونان… یا جزایری دور دست که هنوز روی زمین نروییده است و فقط در رویا می تواند متصور بشود! در چنین کافه ای که هنوز بدنیا نیامده است، نباید تنها باشم. باید مردی را دوست بدارم و نگاه عاشقانه اش را حس کنم. به چشم هایش نگاه کنم نرم و آرام. و در هوایی نوازشگر، لمس انگشتانش در وجودم شعله ای را بگیراند. با مردی که عشق را می شناسد یا می خواهد که بشناسد. و مرا می شناسد و من می شناسمش بدون آنکه با او در مورد عشق حرفی زده باشم. حتا اگر عشق فقط در رویا خلق شود یا چند لحظه ناپایدار باشد.
